One of Polly’s earliest memories is cozying up under a table at the Friends book sale, voraciously reading while her mother delegated volunteers for the weekend annual event. An avid library user and committed to the librarianship core values of access, intellectual freedom, and public good, Polly has guided school, library, and non-profits boards for more than 25 years. Recognizing the role of trustees and boards is to drive vision in a responsible and sustainable fashion, Polly focuses on board development, strategic planning, trends, and data storytelling. It is critical that library leaders advocate and have the tools to work together to strength and advocate for their libraries. (And her experience as a zookeeper and middle school teacher is always helpful!)
